Rhythmic & Sensual Impact Play with M&D

Spice Up Your Florentine with Sideswipes

Do you enjoy the rhythm and flow of Florentine, but also find it getting repetitive after awhile? Do you wish you could change things up and throw in some surprises every now and then, so you don’t start putting your bottom to sleep?

If so, here’s a move you can pull to keep your bottom on high alert. I call it a sideswipe, and it allows you to throw in very intense, very punchy, very wrappy strikes, without ever breaking your Florentine rhythm.

Check out the video tutorial below:

As with my last few tutorials, I break the lesson down into separate sections. My recommendation is to pause at the end of each section, then take as much time as you need to learn the moves from that section. And once you have these moves down in muscle memory, move onto the next section.

  • (0:00) Introduction
  • (2:13) Sideswipes in Action at Twisted Windows’ Folsom Gala 2025
  • (2:28) Part 1: Basic Sideswipe
  • (4:09) Part 2: Figure-8 to Sideswipe
  • (8:07) Part 3: Figure-8 on One Hand, Sideswipe on Other Hand
  • (12:59) Part 4: Florentine with Sideswipes
  • (16:16) Part 5: Eight-Point Florentine / Four-Beat Weave Drill
  • (21:12) Part 6: Fancy Schmancy Variations

In case you’re wondering, the finger floggers I use in the tutorial were made by Arc Impact Leather.

And as always, please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
