Once you’re able to strike consistently with each hand, you’re ready to combine the two hands.
Same Direction
Start with both floggers spinning in the same direction.
9. Together-same forward: striking down with both floggers at the same time.
10. Together-same reverse: striking up with both floggers at the same time.
Remember to add that extra flick with your wrists every time you make contact, so you can keep the floggers spinning smoothly.
11. Split-same forward: alternating strikes down with each flogger.
You’ll undoubtedly find your dominant hand to be stronger and steadier, so aim to strike with a consistent rhythm (i.e., try not to sound like a galloping horse). If you’re struggling with this, here and here are some tips for practicing rhythm and timing.
12. Split-same reverse: alternating strikes up with each flogger.
Opposite Direction
Next, try opposites, where one flogger is striking down, while the other is striking up.
13. Together-opposite, right forward: striking with both floggers at the same time, right hand striking down and left hand striking up.
14. Together-opposite, left forward: striking with both floggers at the same time, left hand striking down and right hand striking up.
15. Split-opposite, right forward: alternating right hand striking down and left hand striking up.
16. Split-opposite, left forward: alternating left hand striking down and right hand striking up.
